The four Saskatoon Lions Clubs conducted a Mega Cash Draw recently and presented a cheque for $ 20,000.00 to the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation to complete a financial commitment of $100,000.00 to assist in building a 9600 square foot Lions Pavilion at the Saskatoon Zoo. The Pavilion will be used as a facility to host the annual "Zoo Gala". The "Zoo Gala" raises several thousand dollars each year to assist in the operational costs of the zoo. The Lions Pavilion will also be available to groups to rent.
Saskatoon Nutana Lions Club is providing the Chairperson for the 71st Annual Christmas Dinner for the sight handicapped clients of the Saskatoon Branch of the C.N.I.B. This annual event is co-sponsored by all four Saskatoon Lions Clubs. Traditionally, 150 clients accompanied by their escorts attend this function. The Lions also provide an entertainment program as well as a visit from Santa with a "goodie bag" for each client.
